Thanksgiving Table Decoration

My newest creation!  I LOVE this little gobbler!  It was inspired by a fellow consultant who created a similar looking turkey on a card (Thanks Karen Cullen!)  The leaves provide places for you and your family to write down some things that you're thankful for!  How cute would this guy be on your dinner table on Thanksgiving!?!?!  Napkin/name place tags can be made using the same turkey.  If you're interested in ordering a turkey, message me!

Monthly Baby Tracker

This great prop makes the PERFECT addition to monthly pictures for your baby!  It would make a great baby shower/new baby gift.

The blocks can be changed out so that months can be tracked through 24 months.

Candy Bouquets

I have been SUPER busy in the craft department over the past few weeks.  One of my newest creations, the candy bouquet.  They can be made in any theme/color scheme and for any occasion.

Custom Banner Order

I had an order for 2 banners for a baby shower for a little boy.  The Mom-To-Be liked the Tiffany blue and sock monkeys so here's my take on the banner.  I hope both the Mom and the girl hosting the shower like it!

Here's the second banner.  I received a text and the buyer is more than happy :)  LOVE it when a customer's  vision is able to become a reality :)

I LOVE FALL!!!

Fall is my favorite season.  The beautiful colors, the crisp cool air, the trips to the pumpkin patch, I love it all!    This stamp is the PERFECT stamp to celebrate the upcoming fall season!

You can make this adorable card at my workshop on Friday September 14th.  This card has so many possibilities!  The card can be left as it is or you can spruce it up by adding some color to your scarecrow.  It's a super easy card to make and it will be loved by the people who receive it.  You must sign up for this workshop no later than August 31st.  The cost of the workshop will be 10 cards for $10.  Want to make more than 10?  Cards are $1.00 each so just let me know how many to prepare for you!

This workshop can also be done at your house if you're looking for a fun thing to do while getting a few of your friends together to hang out.  If you have 5 or more people sign up for the 10 for $10 option at your workshop, the hostess (you!) will get to make 10 cards for FREE!!!  The question was asked earlier "If I host a workshop do I have to sell stuff?"  My answer is NO!  There is no requirement to sell anything however once you and your friends try our fabulous products there is always the opportunity to purchase any items from the current Idea Book.  If you're not a scrapbooker/cardmaker but think this would be a fun thing to try, go ahead, try it!  There's no commitment to purchase anything and all supplies (minus adhesive) will be supplied.  If you would like, I can supply adhesive for a small additional fee.

Visit CraftedWorks on Facebook and be sure to check back in on my blog periodically for new projects :)

Happy Crafting!

4-H project

I was given the opportunity this past week to work with a sweet young girl who is entering a scrapbook into the fair for 4-H.  Her Mom brought her over with supplies and pictures in hand and she jumped right in!  We talked about the basics of scrapbooking and the project was for her to create a scrapbook herself.  I haven't seen the finished product yet but she caught on quickly while she was here so I'm sure that she did a fantastic job.  She also interviewed me to find out things like what are my favorite tools, how I got started with CTMH, and a few other fun questions.  It was fun to be able to share my scrapbooking knowledge with her and hopefully she enjoyed making her scrapbook.

Yesterday I received a message from her Mom asking if I could create a banner for her to display during the fair.  Maggie is also showing pigs at the fair.  It was a pleasure to make it for her and I hope she does well in the fair and likes her banner :)  (the banner is laminated which is why I didn't add dimension to it)

Year End Teacher Gifts

I have been a busy girl these past few weeks!  I just finished a scrapbook for a customer and then it was on to year end teacher gifts.  My son's music teacher is retiring this year so some of the 3rd & 4th graders are singing the song "You Are The Music In Me" from High School Musical for her tomorrow.  I was asked to put something together with the chorus of the song and a space for the students to sign.  This is what I came up with.

After the frame for Mrs. Quist was done, I moved onto teacher gifts.  I decided that I wanted to try tackling the challenging task of creating a wreath with the rolled flowers from the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart.  It ended up being 70 rolled flowers and was my first real big project with the flowers but I LOVE how it turned out.  This wreath was made for Mrs. Whitley.  She is such a kind hearted, loving person.  She is the educational assistant in my son's 2nd grade class.  Mrs. Whitley's primary job is to work with the special needs students who are integrated into his class.  Grant LOVES to help out and has friended one of the students that Mrs. Whitley works with.  Through this fabulous experience for Grant, he too has become close to Mrs. Whitley.  She always has a smile for the children and Grant thinks the world of her.  She has gone above and beyond this year to help Grant fit in at his new school.  She probably doesn't think anything of it, but it meant a whole lot to me as well as to Grant.  I hope she likes her wreath!

Mrs. Melish, Grant's 2nd grade teacher, has been a Godsend!  When we switched schools this year I was VERY nervous about the switch from private to public school.  We couldn't have been blessed with a better teacher for Grant.  Some people are teachers just to have paid summers off but that's not the case with his teacher.  She has been a HUGE source of support for Grant and our family throughout the school year.  She was firm yet loving, consistent yet spontaneous and was just all around a perfect fit for our family.  We will definitely miss her next year and can't thank her enough for everything that she has done for Grant this year.  I made her a scrapbook frame to put pictures of her children, she has a soon to be 4th grader and triplets who are going into pre-k.  I also made her a personalized clipboard.

Both Mrs. Melish and Mrs. Whitley are both getting pens as well.  Tommy (my husband) is quite crafty with wood.  He made these pens (from a block of wood ) for each of the teachers.

I hope that the teachers like their presents and know how much we appreciate them!

Frames for some adorable dancers!

After making the frames for the teachers at MV, I had a customer order frames for her son's dance class for him to hand out after his recital.  The frames were a HIT and it was such a fun little gift!

Remainder of teacher appreciation gifts

I just noticed that I forgot to post the Thursday and Friday gifts for Grant's teachers.  On Thursday we made water bottles.

On Friday we sent in a picture frame for Grant's teacher, classroom aide and his specials teachers.

A "Typeset" frame for G's male gym teacher

The super funky "Stella" for his art teacher

A close up of the flower on the Stella frame

A "Lucy" frame for the super sweet classroom aide

The flower was made using the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge exclusively from CTMH

Another "Typeset" frame, this one was for the music teacher

Inked flowers and borders

My FAVORITE frame!  This "Pemberley" frame went to the librarian

This flower was made using the AP cartridge as well
